About Me

My name is Rick Olseen, your state senator. I was a North Branch schoolboard member for ten years and have served as Chisago County District Two Commissioner for four years. I have been a Teamster and Member of the International Association of Machinists as well. I believe in volunteering and community involvement.

I live in Sunrise Township in Chisago County. My wife Bambi and I raised two daughters, Cristina and Becki, who attended North Branch public schools from Kindergarten through graduation. As a School Board member, handing my daughters their diplomas will always be a highlight in my life. Cristina graduated from the University of Minnesota and is now working on her Masters in Social Work. Becki graduated from Northwestern of Iowa this spring with plans to teach high school history.
